AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Corbion nv has acquired the lactic acid business of Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) effective March 31, 2015. The transaction includes the sales and delivery of lactic acid, sodium lactate and potassium lactate products. No production facilities or personnel will be acquired, as production will be absorbed in existing Corbion facilities.

Corbion acquired the lactic acid business for an undisclosed amount, paid in cash. The acquisition strengthens the company's position in the North American lactic acid market.
