STAMFORD, CT – BASF’S Dispersions & Pigments (ED) group presented its Innovative Product of the Year Award for 2014 to PT Hutchins, a KODA Distribution Group company. Jon Kleinman, Territory Sales Manager, and Doug Kercher, President of PT Hutchins, accepted the award from BASF at the Annual BASF Distribution Partners Meeting in Florida.

The criteria for winning The BASF Innovative Product Award is based on identifying the distributor in NAFTA that delivered the most innovative product sold in the prior year. 

According to BASF ED, no other distributor pushed BASF harder for a "new" product to meet an application for an opportunity of roughly $1 million. Because of PT Hutchin’s persistence in working with the formulation additives group, BASF was able to modify some existing technology to produce a new product that specifically fit the customer's unique application.
