BEAR LAKE, MN - The Twin Cities Chapter of Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI) and the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program (MnTAP) at the University of Minnesota, are hosting the Symposium & Paint and Powder Coating Expo at Century College in White Bear Lake, MN (near St. Paul) on March 18-19, 2015. 

The symposium will be held on March 18 from 8:00-12:30 and focuses on “Maximizing Performance from Individuals and Teams.” Judy Hartley, an independent performance consultant/facilitator specializing in leadership and team development, will present the session. Topics covered include: tools and techniques for fostering high performance from employees and for maintaining job satisfaction, essentials of effective onboarding (getting new employees off to a great start), critical success factors for effective teams and teamwork, and processes and tools for building high-performance teams and teamwork. Also on Wednesday, March 18, the Iowa Waste Reduction Center will be providing painter training, where trainers will work with attendees to improve finishing techniques on virtual-reality spray equipment. Training will cover the fundamentals of spray application and focus on best practices to optimize spray technique to improve productivity, reduce rework and defects, and decrease air emissions. This will be a four-hour program, and attendees can register for either a morning or afternoon session (8:00-12:00 or 1:00-5:00). To register for the painter training, click here.

The Expo, which will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 19, will include a vendor show, hands-on demonstrations and technical seminars. Professionals who are involved with industrial finishing will benefit by attending the Expo and obtaining essential information to improve their finishing process. Technical session tracks will include fundamentals, advanced topics, process efficiency, moving your coating system from good to great and success stories in finishing.
