LOS ANGELES, CA - Scott Shier has joined the sales team at Dorsett & Jackson Inc. Shier brings 35 years of sales and sales management experience to his new position. He began his career in the paint and coatings industry in 1980, starting as a lab technician at Sinclair Paint. He later worked for Fredrick Hansen Paint Co. as a Formulating Chemist, developing architectural coatings.  In order to broaden his formulating experience, he moved on to Whittaker Corp., Colton, CA, where he developed coil extrusion and industrial coatings. Shier joined BYK Chemie in 1988, starting as a Technical Sales Representative. He was later promoted to Regional Sales Manager. In 2002, he joined the P.T. Hutchins Co. as a Sales and Product Manager. He then became Vice President of CASE sales, responsible for the West Coast, Rocky Mountain, Southwest and Southeast regions.

After 54 years as a sales executive with Dorsett & Jackson Inc., Paul E. Grubs announced his retirement as of January 1, 2015. Grubs remains active as owner and President of Aero Marine Products, an internet company selling resins for molding compounds.

The company also announced the retirement of Carl Hassis, who began his employment at Dorsett & Jackson in 1978 as a Technical Sales Representative. For the past 37 years Hassis has been involved with technical sales and has been responsible for introducing new and unique products, primarily to the CASE markets. He held the title of Vice president Technology for the past six years.
