Huber to Increase Capacity at Precipitated Silica Plant in Tennessee

ATLANTA – Huber Engineered Materials, Atlanta, GA, is increasing capacity at its precipitated silica plant in Etowah, TN. The expansion will add 14,000 metric tons annually at Etowah and is set for completion in the third quarter of 2013.

Earlier this year, Huber announced a new production line at its precipitated silica plant in Jhagadia, India, which is set for completion in the fourth quarter of 2012 and doubles the capacity to 35,000 metric tons. 

Huber, a division of J.M. Huber Corp. (Edison, NJ), is a leader in precipitated silica with seven manufacturing sites located across North America, Europe and Asia.
