FSCT Symposium to Focus on Wood Coatings - Posted 4/18/07

A new Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT) Advancements in Coatings Series symposium will give insight into a variety of wood substrates and their influence on the selection and performance of coatings, the capabilities of various coating types, specifying methods, application details and testing procedures. Co-sponsored by the FSCT and the Journal of Architectural Coatings (JAC), "Coating Wood and Wood Composites: Designing for Durability” will be held at the Doubletree Hotel Seattle Airport, Seattle, WA on July 23–25, 2007. The symposium will feature sessions on such topics as understanding wood substrates; performance products, application and testing; designing and durability; eliminating damage to wood through building envelope design; engineered wood composites; and the global marketplace.
