Dow to Expand CELLOSIZE HEC Production

MIDLAND, Mich. - The Dow Chemical Company announced that its Water Soluble Polymers business would invest in enhancements to certain manufacturing processes and capacity additions for CELLOSIZETM hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC) in Institute, W.Va. The expansion will yield an additional 5 MM pounds each year, which will primarily support growth in paint, oilfield and other specialty applications.
