NL Industries Inc., Houston, said production of chloride-process titanium dioxide resumed in April at the company’s Leverkusen, Germany, TiO₂ plant, which was damaged by a fire March 20. The company said approximately 20% of sulfate-process TiO₂ production has been restored, with full production anticipated no later than October.
