Industry Loses William Gordon Welch

ATLANTA – William Gordon Welch, 82, died July 17, 2008, of complications from pneumonia. Welch founded Atlanta Solvents Chemical Co. in 1954, Alchemy South Ltd. in 1980 and Atlanta Snap Seal in 1993, where he owned two patents. He was a past president of The Atlanta Chemical Sales Club. He is survived by his wife, four children and 10 grandchildren.
