Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM), Decatur, IL, announced plans to assume direct marketing of industrial ethanol products for delivery beginning Jan. 1, 2003, following the dissolution of the World Ethanol joint venture with The Dow Chemical Co. Industrial ethanol is used in several markets, including coatings, ink and adhesives. The action was taken to allow the companies to pursue ethanol business opportunities separately, Dow said.
