X-Rite Acquires Assets of Color-Software Company

Grandville, MI - X-Rite Inc. has acquired the assets of Monaco Systems, a Massachusetts-based supplier of color-management software for the graphic-arts and photo markets, in a cash and stock transaction totaling $10.6 million. The purchase includes the entire Monaco line of color-management products, all intellectual property and operating assets.

X-Rite earlier this year acquired Benjamin Moore & Co.'s ColoRx(r) product line and related assets from Thermo Electron Corp., Benjamin Moore's former supplier.

X-Rite is a supplier of measurement devices, software and services related to color measurement and color management.
