Ashland Increases Prices for 1,4-Butanediol and Derivatives in North America

WILMINGTON, DE — Ashland recently announced that the company is increasing prices on 1,4-butanediol (BDO) and several derivative products. The increases apply to North America and are effective July 1, 2021, or as agreements allow.

The company announced price increases on the following products: 1,4 butanediol (BDO) will increase $0.30 per pound; n-methyl-pyrrolidone (NMP) and 2-pyrrolidone (2-Pyrol) will increase $0.35 per pound; and gamma-butyrolactone (BLO^®) and tetrahydrofuran (THF) will increase $0.50 per pound.
