LANXESS Increases Prices for 1,6-Hexanediol

COLOGNE, Germany – Specialty chemicals company LANXESS is raising its prices for 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) globally with immediate effect. The increase amounts to €350 per metric ton. The reason for the adjustment is the significant rise in raw material costs over the past months.

HDO is an important precursor for high-performance coatings, fibers, adhesives, polyurethanes, polycarbonate diols, and as reactive diluent for epoxy resins.
