NAPERVILLE, IL - The National Association of Container Distributors (NACD) has announced that Mark Giesen, President and CEO, Continental Packaging Solutions, has been named NACD’s President. Giesen’s term, approved by the voting committee of NACD during the Annual Convention this past April, runs from 2010-2012.

“I’m looking forward to my term as President with NACD,” said Giesen. “Distribution is a powerful force in packaging. My goal as NACD President is to ensure that NACD’s mission – to advocate the concept that wholesale distribution is the most effective and efficient channel to bring packaging components to the manufacturers of consumer and industrial products – is clearly understood, making it the most viable, business-smart option in the packaging supply chain.”

Giesen has been President of Continental Packaging Solutions since December of 1995 and became the company’s Chief Executive Officer in 2002.

Giesen currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Continere Corp. and has been a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) since 1995. He also serves as a member of Denison University’s Presidents’ Leadership Council.
