Hard, scratch-resistant acrylated components are used on plastic substrates in a complex range of application segments ranging from electronics, communications, semiconductors and data storage to optics, automotive, aerospace and medical industries.
Just as the applications are wide and diverse, the variety of plastics that are used increases and includes materials such as PET, PMMA and PC. This presentation will describe a range of high-functionality monomers and oligomers including some waterborne polyurethane dispersion (UV-PUD) examples. Data demonstrating excellent scratch and abrasion properties will be discussed along with accelerated weathering data supporting use for exterior coatings applications.
